To support the International Class program, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) sent a promotional delegation to Malaysia. The Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur facilitated the promotion of UNNES through the Archipelago Exhibition (Archex) program. The activity was held in the Hasanudin Hall of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur for 2 days, March 18-19 2019. Through this promotion activity it was hoped that the interest of foreign students entering UNNES would increase and cooperation with schools in Malaysia would be established.
According to Dr. Niken Subekti MSi as the Rector’s Expert Staff for Foreign Cooperation, the promotional activities at the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur became a strategic means of introducing UNNES to students and parents abroad.
“In addition to the promotion of study programs, we are also exploring opportunities for cooperation with Indonesian Education Attachés in Malaysia and with the Consulate General of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur,” added Dr. Niken Subekti.
The same thing was also conveyed directly by the Head of the Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Rusdi Kirana who stated that the Indonesian Embassy was ready to help while facilitating the promotion of international class study programs at UNNES.
“We will help socialize 13 international classes at UNNES to schools in Kuala Lumpur. We will also help socialize international internship programs with industries in Malaysia, “said Rusdi.
