Dosen FT UNNES Kembangkan Kolaborasi Riset dan Pendidikan di UiTM Malaysia

Tim dosen Fakultas Teknik (FT) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian internasional bertajuk “Pengembangan Ekosistem Data-Driven Civil Engineering di Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam Melalui Integrasi Machine Learning dan Open Scientific Dataset” pada 10-12 Juni 2026 di Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari upaya UNNES dalam memperkuat kerja sama internasional sekaligus mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs), khususnya SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas), SDG 13 (Aksi Perubahan Iklim), SDG 15 (Kehidupan di Darat), dan SDG 17 (Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan).

Selama tiga hari pelaksanaan, tim mengikuti berbagai agenda, mulai dari pemaparan materi dan pelatihan bagi mahasiswa serta dosen UiTM, implementation of agreement antara UNNES dan UiTM bersama grup riset IIESM, penjajakan kerja sama joint publication, program inbound-outbound mahasiswa, hingga kegiatan penanaman pohon.

Tim dosen FT UNNES yang terlibat dalam kegiatan adalah Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM., Drs. Bambang Sugiyarto, M.T., Dr. Harianingsih, S.T., M.T., Virgiawan Adi Kristianto, S.Pd., M.Ed., dan Rizky Ajie Aprilianto, S.Pd., M.Eng.

Dalam kegiatan tersebut, tim menyampaikan materi “Machine Learning for Building Energy Prediction in Civil Engineering: Courtyard Design x Tropical Climate -Open Scientific Dataset”. Materi tersebut disimak dengan antusias oleh mahasiswa dan dosen UiTM Shah Alam. Melalui kegiatan ini, FT UNNES turut berkontribusi dalam mendukung SDG 4 melalui berbagi pengetahuan dan penguatan kapasitas akademik di bidang teknik sipil.

Agenda berikutnya adalah penandatanganan kerja sama (implementation of agreement) antara UNNES dan UiTM. Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah lanjutan dalam memperkuat hubungan kerja sama yang selama ini telah terjalin antara kedua perguruan tinggi. Selain itu, kerja sama tersebut juga diharapkan dapat mendukung berbagai kegiatan akademik, penelitian, dan publikasi bersama di masa mendatang. Upaya ini selaras dengan SDG 17 yang mendorong penguatan kemitraan untuk mencapai tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Sebagai penutup rangkaian kegiatan, tim melaksanakan penanaman pohon bersama. Kegiatan ini sejalan dengan nilai-nilai konservasi yang menjadi identitas UNNES sebagai Universitas Berwawasan Konservasi. Selain sebagai bentuk kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, penanaman pohon juga menjadi bagian dari dukungan terhadap SDG 13 tentang aksi perubahan iklim dan SDG 15 tentang kehidupan di darat.

Melalui kegiatan pengabdian internasional ini, UNNES terus memperluas jejaring kerja sama global sekaligus mendorong kontribusi perguruan tinggi dalam mendukung pencapaian SDGs melalui pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
