Several lecturers from Chung Ang University in South Korea visited the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). The delegation was received directly by the Dean of FT Dr. Nur Qudus MT accompanied by officials and related lecturers in the FT environment on Thursday (4/10/2018) at the Dean of FT UNNES campus Sekaran Gunungpati.
Changsu Shim PhD representing the group conveyed his university profile including Chung Ang University (CAU) having two campuses located in Seoul and Anseong, South Korea.
CAU has been accredited by the Ministry of Education of Korea. There are various educational programs ranging from undergraduate, masters, and doctoral programs. CAU has also been known as the best national university in the fields of pharmacy, culture and art education.
There are many departments that can be selected for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, not only taught in Korean, but in CAU also provides lectures that are taught in English.
Dr Nur Qudus MT welcomed to UNNES especially in FT, conservation campus. FT has 14 undergraduate education and non-education study programs, namely Family Welfare Education, Culinary Education, Automotive Engineering Education, Beauty Education.
Then, Dressmaking Education, Information and Computer Engineering Education, Electrical Engineering Education, Mechanical Engineering Education, Electrical Engineering, Building Engineering Education, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Architectural Engineering.
Dr. Nur Qudus hopes that this visit will be the beginning of a future meeting to be a good partner for the improvement of some academic collaboration with FT UNNES.
Dr Nur Qudus added, every year FT conducts Engineering International Conference activities, he hopes in the future they can be the Keynote Speaker in the event.
At the end of the meeting the group was given a souvenir ‘Batik’ result from the work of FT students. Changsu Shim PhD claimed to be impressed with the batik made by students who became the icon of Indonesia.
The group was then invited to take a look around the process of making batik and batik products by students.
