Cambodian Ambassador Appreciates the Achievement of UNNES

In the era of internationalization it is important for a university to prepare itself primarily to compete with other universities in the world. Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) itself has laid a big foundation in welcoming the international competition. One of the things that UNNES is preparing is to form an International class. There have been more than ten International classes spread across eight faculties and Postgraduate.
In addition, various achievements were also made by UNNES both at national and international levels, and these achievements need to be known by a wider audience, especially friendly countries.
Coinciding with that, UNNES sent a team in the Education Expo held by the Indonesian Embassy for Cambodia at the Koh Pich Exebishion center. The exhibition is an annual regular program organized by the Indonesian Embassy.
The Indonesian Ambassador for Cambodia Sudirman Haseng was accompanied by Chhuon Dara, Secretary of the State Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Chhuon Dara when visiting UNNES booth said, “This activity is expected to become a forum for Indonesian campuses, so that the world can be better known , especially people in Cambodia, ” he said.
He also appreciated the achievements of UNNES and hoped that many Cambodian students would study at UNNES later.
Benny Sumardiana as the group leader said, this was a great opportunity for UNNES to pack its wings, and accept as many foreign students from all over the world, and Cambodia was expected to be one of its parts.
He added, “Cambodia is one of our potential target countries in Southeast Asia,” he said on the sidelines of the Expo.
On this occasion, the group of UNNES to Cambodia consisted of five people, besides Benny Sumardiana from the Law Faculty, Sonny also joined the chair of the Asean UNNES Study Center and three International class students.
