Belajar Budaya dan Keberlanjutan, UNNES Buka Summer Camp 2026

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) membuka UNNES Summer Camp 2026 pada Kamis (4/6). Mengusung tema Youth Collaboration for Sustainable Development, program ini mempertemukan mahasiswa dari berbagai negara untuk belajar bersama mengenai budaya, kehidupan masyarakat, dan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Pembukaan kegiatan berlangsung di halaman Gedung Rektorat UNNES dan dihadiri Wakil Rektor IV Bidang Kerja Sama, Bisnis, & Hubungan Internasional UNNES Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM., Sekretaris Universitas Prof. Dr. Sugianto, M.Si., Kepala Kantor Urusan Internasional dan SDGs Center UNNES Alfath Yanuarto, S.Kom., serta para peserta program.

UNNES Summer Camp 2026 diselenggarakan pada 4-6 Juni 2026 dan diikuti mahasiswa internasional dari Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), dan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Program ini terlaksana melalui dukungan Program Equity yang didanai oleh Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP).

Dalam laporannya, Alfath Yanuarto, S.Kom. menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan tersebut dirancang sebagai ruang belajar lintas budaya yang memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada peserta melalui interaksi dengan masyarakat.

“Melalui program ini, peserta tidak hanya mengenal budaya Indonesia, tetapi juga belajar dari kehidupan masyarakat dan berbagai praktik pembangunan berkelanjutan yang ada di tingkat lokal. Kami berharap pengalaman ini menjadi bekal berharga bagi seluruh peserta,” ujarnya.

Sebanyak 40 peserta dari berbagai negara mengikuti UNNES Summer Camp 2026. Mereka berasal dari Indonesia, Jerman, Prancis, India, Tajikistan, Mesir, Ghana, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Tanzania, Pakistan, Thailand, Madagaskar, Myanmar, Laos, Papua Nugini, Afghanistan, dan Timor-Leste.

Selama tiga hari pelaksanaan, peserta akan mengikuti berbagai kegiatan di Desa Wisata Cokro, Klaten, yang merupakan desa mitra UNNES. Mereka akan mengenal beragam kearifan lokal melalui kegiatan membuat gerabah, belajar tentang jamu tradisional, menyaksikan pertunjukan gamelan, berinteraksi dengan masyarakat setempat, hingga mengikuti kegiatan susur sungai.

Dalam sambutannya, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM. mengatakan bahwa UNNES Summer Camp merupakan salah satu upaya UNNES untuk memperkuat jejaring internasional sekaligus memperkenalkan nilai-nilai budaya Indonesia kepada mahasiswa dari berbagai negara.

“Keberagaman peserta yang hadir menjadi kesempatan yang baik untuk saling belajar dan memahami satu sama lain. Kami berharap pengalaman selama di Desa Cokro dapat memberikan pemahaman baru mengenai budaya, masyarakat, dan pentingnya kerja sama global dalam mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan,” imbuhnya.

Sebagai bagian dari seremoni pembukaan, dilakukan penyematan lanyard kepada perwakilan peserta dari India, Zambia, dan Jerman. Penyematan tersebut menjadi simbol penyambutan resmi peserta sebagai bagian dari keluarga besar UNNES selama mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan.

Kegiatan ini juga selaras dengan sejumlah target Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), terutama SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, dan SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals.

Melalui UNNES Summer Camp 2026, UNNES berharap terjalin persahabatan yang lebih erat antar peserta dari berbagai negara, sekaligus membuka peluang kolaborasi yang dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat dan mendukung terwujudnya tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan.
