Seven Science Education students, Department of Integrated Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) were officially released by the Rector of UNNES, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum, to take part in the Credit Transfer (CT) Program at Kasetsart University, Thailand for one semester, Monday (10/8).
The seven students are Melissa Salma Darmawan, Avi Triana, Laili Khubaibah, Vina Wahyuningrum, Mita Wahyu Ningseh, Umi Malichatun Uswa, and Nur Afni Setyo Wardani.
“The seven of them make us proud because in the midst of the pandemic, they still have high enthusiasm to participate in the selection which is finally accepted as an international program that confirms UNNES as a university that has implemented the Independent Campus (Kampus Merdeka) and Free Learning (Merdeka Belajar) which is the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Program,” said Prof. Fathur Rokhman when he released the group. .
The Rector of UNNES also emphasized that because the lecture process for the CT program is completely carried out online, the seven students are confirmed to receive subsidized Internet Package Quota from UNNES.
The Rector congratulated and conveyed messages to always be happy, enthusiastic, active in the lecture process, build good relationships with friends and lecturers at Kasetsart University, and maintain the good name of the institution during the CT program.
Head of the Integrated Science Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNNES, Novi Ratna Dewi MPd, said that although the program was carried out online, the initial selection to join this program was very strict.
“There are several requirements, one of which is English language proficiency in the form of a TOEFL certificate,” he said.
The process of releasing the seven students by the Rector was accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNNES, and the Vice Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNNES.
