Unnes Raih Edu Award dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) meraih penghargaan Edu Award 2014 dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) Kantor Regional IV Jawa Tengan dan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.

Penghargaan diserahkan oleh Kepala OJK Regional IV Jateng-DIY, Santoso Wibowo didampingi Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo di Gumaya Tower Hotel Semarang, Selasa (23/12) malam.

Dekan Fakultas Ekonomi (FE) Unnes Dr Martono saat menyerahkan penghargaannya kepada Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum di rektorat kampus Sekaran Gunungpati, Rabu (24/12) menyampaikan selain Unnes untuk kategori perguruan tinggi, juga diberikan kepada Suara Merdeka untuk kategori media massa, SMA 3 Semarang untuk kategori sekolah, dan Tim Penggerak PKK Jateng kategori organisasi.

Kemudian, kata Dr Martono, Edukator Terbaik diraih Fanny Rifqi El Fuad dari IDX Semarang, Simolek Award untuk Lembaga Jasa Keuangan Terinovatif diraih Bank Jateng, Lembaga Jasa Keuangan Tersigap oleh AJB Bumiputera, dan Lembaga Jasa Keuangan untuk Laporan Terbaik oleh Asuransi Central Asia.

Unnes memperoleh penghargaan ini, kata Dr Martono, terkat dengan perguruan tinggi yang sangat aktif dalam memberi literasi atau pendidikan tentang keuangan kepada masyarakat. Yakni bagaimana mengedukasi masyarakat tentang menggunakan uang secara bijak terutama untuk mendukung gerakan transaksi nontunai atau e-money (uang elektronik).

Kedepan harapannya, orang kalau bepergian kemana-mana tidak lagi membawa dompet yang tebal berisi uang tunai tapi cukup dengan membawa satu kartu yang isinya mungkin lebih banyak dibanding dengan isi dompet, kata Dr Martono.

Menurut Martono, dengan menggunakan e-money banyak keuntungan yang didapat antara lain bisa lebih efisien, fleksibel, terarah, dan tercatat sehingga aliran dana sebesar apapun dengan transaksi nontunai akan terekam.
