The Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University, held the Faculty of Engineering Summer Camp 2026 from July 15–22, 2026. The event was attended by lecturers and students from SEGi University and Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Malaysia, with 42 students and 4 lecturers participating.
The program was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES, Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T. In his remarks, he stated that the Summer Camp serves as a platform for strengthening international cooperation, cultural exchange, and cross-border learning experiences.
During the event, participants participated in various activities, including a UNNES Campus Tour, Laboratory Visits, Tree Planting, Semarang City Tour, Batik Workshop, Jamu Workshop, and Cultural Performances. All participants were accompanied by student buddies to support academic and cultural interactions throughout the program.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES, is committed to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education through the provision of inclusive and high-quality international learning; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening collaboration between universities globally. This activity is expected to expand international networks while enhancing the global competency of students and faculty.
The Faculty of Engineering, UNNES, is committed to providing the best possible experience and excellent service to Summer Camp 2026 participants. This is evident in the feedback from participants who expressed their satisfaction with the service and positive feedback on the event. In his remarks at the Closing Ceremony, the Dean of FT UNNES, Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T., expressed his gratitude to the Summer Camp 2026 participants for their active participation and participation in a series of activities. “We hope the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES, can continue to collaborate with SEGi University and UMPSA Malaysia and host Summer Camps again in the coming years,” he said.
