The Science and Environmental Science Student Association (HIMA IPA dan Ilmu Lingkungan) has successfully completed a series of work programs encompassing academic fields, self-development, and social contributions over the past three years.
In 2023, HIMA’s activities focused on strengthening internal student relations and expanding inter-institutional networks. At the campus level, the association organized the annual Metamorfosis to welcome new students and the Leadership and Self Management Training (LSMT) to provide a platform for leadership and organizational management training. Technical skill enhancement was also facilitated through the Sinau Desain Grafis (SDGs) program for Science Education students.
At the national level, HIMA successfully held an environmental innovation proposal competition called NALAR.com (National Environmental Action Role Competition), which attracted participants from various regions across Indonesia. Additionally, a Study Comparison (Studi Banding) was conducted with Hima IPA UNESA to exchange insights regarding organizational work programs. On the social front, HIMA carried out Social Service (Bakti Sosial) and a Community Service program in Nyatnyono Village, Ungaran, which focused on socializing applicable skills for local residents.

Entering 2024, HIMA expanded its reach into the secondary education sector by organizing the Natural Science Competition (NSO), a national-level science competition for SMP/MTs students. Students were also actively involved in teaching activities through the SEMARANG (Semangat Mengajar dari Sekarang) program at MTs Riyadlus Sholihin Al Islamy, implementing creative teaching methods.
External collaboration continued with the Roadshow To Ormawa (RTO) agenda alongside Hima Teknik Lingkungan UII. Meanwhile, annual programs such as NALAR.com, Metamorfosis, and LSMT proceeded according to the organizational schedule. This year’s community service was held in Lerep Village, Ungaran, to apply scientific knowledge to the needs of the village community.

In 2025, HIMA added variety to its programming by introducing IL Sport Week (IPA Lingkungan Sport Week) as a venue for arts and sports competitions among students. To support professional readiness, a Career Talk seminar was held, providing information on the professional world and scholarship opportunities. Student visual creativity was also accommodated through the Pixel (Picture, Imagination, Excellence, and Layout) competition, which covered poster design, photography, and videography.
Flagship national programs, NALAR.com and NSO, were consistently executed. Annual programs for new students and organizational regeneration—Metamorfosis and LSMT—remained core activities alongside Social Service (Bakti Sosial). This year’s community service series concluded with a program in Limbangan Village, Kendal, focusing on the development of practical skills for the community.
This entire series of work programs serves as evidence of the active role of HIMA IPA dan Ilmu Lingkungan in facilitating student needs and providing a tangible impact on the broader community.
