The center of this study examines, explores, examines, and develops the potential of Indonesian essentials that focus on efforts to increase productivity and quality of fragrant lemongrass oil, lemon grass, cloves, cinnamon, eucalyptus, betel, and several other types of atsiri plant through efficient distillation and environmentally friendly and improve the quality of plant seeds through tissue culture techniques.
Isolation and identification of atsiri components and catalytic transformation to fine chemical fragrance, perfume, flavor, and medical compounds are examined in depth catalytic activity, mechanisms, kinetics, energetics, and also the activity of the compound produced. Biological activity studied from essential products is as an insect repellent, antioxidant, antidepressants, anti -aging, antibiotics, and anti -cancer.
Diversification of essential products is directed to develop and produce essential oils and their derivatives in the form of nano material and bioplastic through encapsulation, electrospinning and polymerization techniques. The products developed are essential -based cleaners, insect rapellent, essential souvenirs, essential tea, and pheromones. To produce products, collaboration with industry and small businesses around Central Java has been carried out.
The field of education and tourism is also the concern of the study center and has collaborated with the Atisiri House in Tawangmangu. Facing the Merdeka Kemdikdud campus policy, an essential internship package is prepared for one full semester that gives the opportunity for Indonesian students to learn and develop skills in cultivation, extraction, analysis, making derivative products, aromatherapy, entrepreneurship, and essential tourism.
