Semarang — The Science and Environmental Division of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), in collaboration with the Indonesian Science Educators Association (PPII), will hold the 16th National Science Seminar under the theme “The Excellence of Science Education and Environmental Science for Disaster Literacy.”
This scientific event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, starting at 07.00 AM (WIB) until completion, at the Prof. Wuryanto Auditorium, UNNES. The seminar serves as a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to discuss and share ideas on strengthening science education and environmental science in addressing disaster-related challenges.
Three keynote speakers will attend this event: Dr. Iwan Junaedi, M.Pd., Director of KSPSTK at the Ministry of Education; Prof. Dr. Dra. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati, M.App.Sc from Universitas Diponegoro; and Dr. Muhamad Taufiq, S.Pd., M.Pd. from Universitas Negeri Semarang.
In addition to the seminar, the committee also opens a Call for Papers covering various topics, including Science Education, Deep Learning, Environmental Studies (science, engineering, and education), Community Service in education, science, and environment, Learning Evaluation, Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), STEM, and Classroom Action Research (CAR).
Selected articles will have the opportunity to be published in several journals and proceedings, including ISSN-indexed e-proceedings, JPII (Scopus Q3), USEJ (Sinta 2), JIECR (Sinta 1), JESE (Sinta 3), JISE (Sinta 4), ISEL (ISSN), IJEH (ISSN), and JDI (ISSN). Publication fees will be charged in accordance with each journal’s policy.
Registration for participants and paper submissions is open from March 5 to May 9, 2026. The abstract submission deadline is April 16, 2026, and the full paper submission deadline is May 9, 2026.
