In a series of collaborative research activities between lecturers of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Semarang State University with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaya, a visit was made to the Moringa Industry MR Moringa Sdn.Bhd, Terengganu, Malaysia. Collaborative Research entitled: Production Of Functional Food From Moringa Leaves By Industries And Its Utilization Among Urban Households In Indonesia And Malaysia, chaired by Prof. Dr. Ari Yuniastuti, M.Kes with members Prof. Dr. drh. R. Susanti, MP and Prof. Dr. Noor Aini Habibah, M.Si. While the Chief Researcher from Universiti Malaya Prof. Dr. Che Wan Jasimah, with members Dr. Maisarah binti Hasbullah, Dr. Suzana Afif, Dr. Mohd Zufri and Dr. Sujatha. The visit to the MR MORINGA industry was initiated by Prof. Dr. Che Wan Jasimah, aims to allow us to directly see the Moringa (Kelor) production process by MR Moringa Sdn.Bhd.

MR Moringa Sdn. Bhd. is a moringa leaf industry based in Terengganu, Malaysia, which manages moringa leaves from cultivating them in the garden to selling them in capsules, tea, coffee, powder, oil, soap, and more. MR Moringa provides natural health products enriched with vitamins, antioxidants, and herbal benefits. According to information from the owner of MR Moringa, Dr. Maimunah, she once visited and learned about moringa leaf processing at PT Kelor Organik Indonesia (Kelorina), Blora, Central Java, Indonesia.

The visit by the Biology lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) to MR Moringa was very beneficial. As researchers, they were able to directly observe the moringa processing process, from drying and powdering to capsule production. Therefore, the hope is that after the visit to MR Moringa, researchers will be able to compare the moringa industry in Malaysia with that in Indonesia.
The event concluded with the signing of an Implementation Arrangement (IA) between the Dean of FMIPA UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Si., and the owner of MR MORINGA, Dr. Maimunah. The event concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between the two parties, a group photo, and the purchase of MR MORINGA products.
