Jepara – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Semarang State University (UNNES) held a Leadership Meeting with the agenda of Monitoring and Evaluation of Semester 2 Performance Achievements in 2024 and the 2025 Development Program Design. The activity, which took place on [activity date] at Sekuro Village Beach Resort, Jepara, was attended by 47 participants, including Deans, Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs (Kaprodi) from various scientific fields, the Quality Assurance Task Force Team, the Faculty Development Task Force Team, and educational staff.
The meeting was opened by the Secretary of Semarang State University, Prof. Dr. Sugianto, M.Sc., who delivered strategic directions regarding the direction of university development. In his remarks, he appreciated the achievements of FMIPA which consistently made significant contributions to UNNES. Prof. Sugianto also emphasized the importance of the role of the faculty in supporting the university’s vision and mission formulated through three main pillars: world-renowned, pioneer of educational excellence, and conservation-minded.
“FMIPA has an important role in realizing UNNES’ vision. With its potential and resources, this faculty can be the main driver in achieving a global reputation, advancing educational excellence, and integrating conservation values in all its activities,” said Prof. Sugianto.
Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Sc., reported that FMIPA’s main performance indicators (IKU) showed significant improvements in various aspects, including student achievement and research quality. “We continue to be committed to maintaining this momentum and designing more innovative strategies in 2025. Collaboration and evaluation like this are the key to FMIPA’s sustainable achievements,” said Prof. Edy.
In the main session, each Head of Study Program from the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, and Science clusters presented an evaluation of the performance achievements of their respective study programs. They outlined achievements in academics, the number of scientific publications, the success of collaborative programs, and student achievements. The Quality Assurance Task Force Team added a comprehensive analysis and provided recommendations for improvement to support better achievements in the future.
The Faculty Development Task Force Team also presented a strategic plan for 2025, including strengthening human resources, developing a curriculum based on industry needs, and technological innovation in learning and research. The interactive discussion produced various creative ideas to support the achievement of the three main pillars of UNNES.
This activity is expected to be a strategic roadmap for FMIPA to continue to excel and contribute to supporting UNNES’ vision as a world-renowned university, a pioneer of educational excellence, and with a conservation perspective. With a productive atmosphere at Sekuro Village Beach Resort, all participants were optimistic that the strategic steps formulated would have a positive impact on the development of FMIPA in the future.
