Semarang, November 14, 2024 – The Integrated Laboratory of FMIPA, Semarang State University (UNNES) held training on Raman Spectrometry equipment, Optosky type ATR3110 and Four Point Probe, Osilla brand, at the Physics Laboratory. This training activity was carried out for two days, namely November 13-14, 2024. This activity was opened by the Coordinator of the Physics Laboratory, Dr. Sulhadi, M.Sc.
This training presented two expert speakers from the Quantum Physics Research Center, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), namely Dr. Joko Suwardy and Dr. Grace Gita Redhyka. They shared their knowledge and experience regarding the use and application of Raman Spectrometry and Four Point Probes in material research, especially in the analysis of material structure and properties.
This event was attended by 18 participants consisting of lecturers, laboratory technicians and students who were enthusiastic to deepen their understanding of this research instrument. Also present at the research was the Head of the Integrated Laboratory of FMIPA Dr. Sigit Priyatmoko, M.Sc.. Through this training, participants are expected to be able to operate equipment independently, improve the quality of research, and enrich their insights in the field of material characterization.
Dr. Sulhadi said that this training is part of the efforts of the Integrated Laboratory of FMIPA UNNES to support the increase in human resource capacity in material research. “With training like this, we hope that participants can understand the application of increasingly sophisticated tools that are relevant to current research trends,” he said.
The participants showed high enthusiasm during the training. The activity ended with a hands-on practice session using the two tools, which is expected to improve the technical skills of lecturers, technicians, and students in supporting research activities in the field of advanced materials.
