We are now entering the 21st century, so the education paradigm in Indonesia must follow the 21st century learning pattern that prioritizes the latest technology. Thus, in this 21st century learning, the UNNES Chemistry Group needs to introduce various technology-based learning technologies that are relevant to this “Now Era”. Therefore, on September 12, 2024, during the mini-lecture on research and innovative learning design for chemistry education, an expert in 21st century technology-based chemistry learning media from the State University of Malang, Dr. Munzil Arief, S.Pd, M.Si, was present to convey the interesting topic. In this guest lecture, the resource person conveyed various reasons why it is necessary to have 21st century-based learning media skills, the diversity of learning resources in the context of the 21st century, the characteristics of chemistry and relevant learning media, understanding Virtual Reality (VR) technology and learning media, Augmented Reality (AR), and Ethno-VR. At the end of the activity, various examples of interesting 21st century technology-based chemistry learning media were given, and they aroused the creativity of students and lecturers. At the end of the activity, reinforcement of this guest lecture activity was carried out by Prof. Dr. Sudarmin, M.Si, a UNNNES lecturer who emphasized the various project products that must be developed related to ethno-VR in the context of Etno-SSI and EDP. The results of student responses to this activity were very good and interesting.
