On Friday, September 15, 2023, a collaboration discussion was held between the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNNES and PT ASIMAS (Agaricus Sido Makmur Sentosa) in person at Jl. Inspektur Polisi Soewoto Lawang, Malang. This collaboration aims to support the Implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education between FMIPA UNNES and PT ASIMAS. The scope of this collaboration includes practitioner teaching, research by faculty and students, student internships, or other relevant activities. These activities will be followed up by the study programs within FMIPA UNNES.
Representatives from PT ASIMAS Malang were present at this event, including Muhammad Hasyim Ashari, M.Hum., M.Ak., CA., the Director of PT ASIMAS Semarang, along with the secretary, marketing manager, and quality control manager. Representatives from FMIPA UNNES included Prof. Dr. Sutikno, M.Si, the Vice Dean for Business, Research, and Cooperation, Dr. Masrukan, M.Si., Prof. Dr. Noor Aini Habibah, Dr. Triastuti Sulistyaningsih, M.Si, Arif Widiyatmoko, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D. (Natural Sciences), Dr. Budi Astuti, M.Sc. (Physics), Dr. Dewi Mustikaningtyas (Biology), Anggy Trisnawan Putra, M.Si (Computer Science), and Senda Kartika Rakainsa, S.Farm., M.Pharm.Sc. (Pharmacy), representing the FMIPA UNNES cooperation task force.
Prof. Dr. Sutikno, M.T., the Vice Dean for Cooperation at FMIPA UNNES, in his speech, mentioned that FMIPA UNNES has 21 study programs, and several of these programs can collaborate with PT ASIMAS Malang, including the Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy study programs. Some study programs at FMIPA already have ongoing research by faculty and students that can be collaborated upon, especially in the field of traditional medicine and plants. FMIPA UNNES hopes that the collaboration between FMIPA UNNES and PT ASIMAS Semarang will be mutually beneficial and can be implemented promptly.
Muhammad Hasyim Ashari, M.Hum., M.Ak., CA., the Director of PT ASIMAS, also expressed his hope that the collaboration between FMIPA UNNES and PT ASIMAS Semarang can proceed smoothly. The Director of PT ASIMAS mentioned that PT ASIMAS Malang has already engaged in collaborations with local universities for research and student internships. He emphasized that faculty and students involved in research should have market research and prototype product development in mind. Therefore, in the future, FMIPA UNNES and PT ASIMAS Semarang are expected to collaborate on mushrooms and traditional medicine-related projects.
The subsequent activity during this meeting was the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between FMIPA UNNES and PT ASIMAS Malang. Both FMIPA UNNES and PT ASIMAS hope that this collaboration will run smoothly, be successful, and bring benefits to all parties involved.
