Training on Bird Identification and Conservation in KEE Mangrove Pasarbanggi and Tireman Rembang

The training on bird species identification and bird conservation efforts took place on Wednesday (9/8) for the communities of Pasarbanggi Village and Tireman Village, Rembang Regency, Central Java. This activity was organized by the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) of Central Java and invited Prof. Margareta Rahayuningsih, M.Si, also known as Prof. Eta, who is one of the instructors at FMIPA UNNES, as a speaker.

The aim of this activity was to enhance the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and abilities of forum members and the community in the field of conservation. The training material delivered by Prof. Eta focused on the identification and conservation of wildlife, especially bird species in the KEE area. Birds were chosen because the KEE Mangrove area in Pasarbanggi Village is a stopover for many types of water birds, making the presence of various bird species in the area potentially attractive to tourists visiting the Rembang Regency-owned KEE Mangrove.

This training activity also introduced the community to proper bird observation and identification methods, as well as conservation practices. In addition to the training, a visit to the KEE Wetland mangrove areas in Pasarbanggi and Tireman was conducted to observe the biodiversity, especially birdlife, in the area. After this training, it is hoped that the communities of Pasarbanggi and Tireman will be able to recognize and conserve the biodiversity in their surroundings.
