The Head of the PPK ORMAWA Team Hima IPA Terpadu also explained the objective of the PPK ORMAWA activities, which is to enhance human resources and utilize the natural resources potential in Tugurejo Village.
A series of programs carried out by the Integrated Science Student Association (HIMA IPA Terpadu) PPK ORMAWA team in 2023 include Urban Farming, Waste Bank Empowerment, Rainwater Harvesting, and Urban Aquaculture. During the program presentation session, the team shared the activity timeline and planned development locations for each program, followed by a discussion involving Q&A with the audience. Through this opening event, there was a remarkable enthusiasm displayed by the local community in welcoming the students and the upcoming programs to be held until November. The community also provided valuable suggestions and input to support the improvement of the programs formulated by the PPK ORMAWA team, aligning with their intended goals.
In the subsequent session, the filling out of a pre-test impact assessment instrument was carried out. These assessment forms were distributed by members of the PPK ORMAWA team to the attending audience during the opening event. The pre-test was conducted to measure the community’s knowledge about the activities that will be carried out by the PPK ORMAWA team. Once the pre-test was completed, the event continued with an introduction of team members and an overview of the programs by the PPK ORMAWA team of Hima IPA Terpadu UNNES 2023, led by the team leader.
The theme ‘Climate Village’ with the title ‘Development of an Eco-Conservation Village through Food Resilience, Waste Management, Water, and Sanitation Programs’ aims to create a climate-friendly village in Tugurejo Village. This theme is supported by four sub-programs, each headed by a respective project manager.
The 2023 Integrated Science Student Association (HIMA IPA Terpadu) PPK ORMAWA team arrived at the opportune moment as a supportive element with planned programs for the Tugurejo Village community. This is due to the fact that the community is currently preparing to achieve the ‘Sustainable Climate Village’ designation in 2024. Through these activities, it is hoped that a collaboration between both parties can be established to achieve this goal in the future.
