Magelang, August 8th, 2023 – In an effort to improve the quality of education and research, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a Performance Achievement Evaluation for the first semester of 2023. The event, held at the Grand Artos Hotel, was attended by various parties, including Dr. Ngabiyanto, M.Si., as the Vice Rector III for Research, Innovation, and Information Systems.
In his speech, Dr. Ngabiyanto, M.Si., emphasized the importance of evaluation as a first step in enhancing the quality of education and research at FMIPA UNNES. He also highlighted the significance of synergy among various fields of study within the faculty, namely chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, natural sciences, and computer science. He appreciated the achievements of FMIPA’s first semester Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the target to improve its ranking in the World University Ranking (WUR).
The Dean of FMIPA UNNES, Prof. Edy Cahyono, M.Si., revealed several positive achievements in the first semester, including an increase in the number of scientific publications and student achievements in various competitions. However, he also emphasized the need for improvement and development of acceleration programs to drive research and innovation in various fields of study.
The acceleration program of FMIPA UNNES was also announced during the event, with the aim of driving improvements in research quality and community service. This program will involve various parties such as deans, vice deans, laboratory heads, and program coordinators from each field of study and collaborative partners.
The evaluation event and the acceleration program plan were carried out with great enthusiasm and excitement. It is hoped that these steps will have a positive impact on the development of FMIPA UNNES in achieving higher standards of education and research.
