On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) had the opportunity to become guest lecturers in a guest lecture activity at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Malaysia. The FMIPA lecturers invited to the guest lecture were Prof. Dr. Ani Rusilowati and Arif Widiyatmoko, Ph.D.
This activity is one of the outcomes of the collaborative research between UNNES and the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Malaysia, with collaborative partners being the Head of the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, UM Malaysia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fonny Dameaty Hutagalung, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chew Fong Peng.
During the Guest Lecture activity, each lecturer delivered a presentation according to their respective fields. Prof. Dr. Ani Rusilowati discussed the Teacher Professional Education Curriculum in Indonesia, while Arif Widiyatmoko, Ph.D., presented on the Utilization of ICT for Professional Teacher Development.
The participants of the guest lecture were professional teacher program students and postgraduate students at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Malaysia. The students showed great enthusiasm and critical thinking during the guest lecture, as evidenced by the numerous questions posed to the guest lecturers.
This activity is part of the lecturers’ commitment to the tridharma of higher education at an international campus (QS65), supporting the achievement of UNNES’s Key Performance Index in 2023. The Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Information Systems of UNNES, Dr. Ngabiyanto, also attended the event as a guest lecturer, delivering a presentation on Teacher Professional Education in Indonesia, while Asep Purwo Yudi Utomo presented on TPACK Implementation Policy in Teacher Professional Education in Indonesia.
