MSIB (Certified Internship and Independent Study Program) is part of the Kampus Merdeka program from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). This program provides students with the opportunity to sharpen and gain skills, knowledge, and attitudes in the industrial world by working on and learning directly about real projects or issues.
The MSIB (Certified Internship and Independent Study Program) program is part of the Kampus Merdeka program from the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology. This program provides students with the opportunity to hone their skills, knowledge, and attitudes in the industry by working on and learning directly about real projects or issues.
The Internship Program is an activity where students work in partner organizations as trainees for a limited period of time with the following criteria: based on real projects, students are mentored by professional mentors, carried out within one semester, given the opportunity to become full-time employees (FTE), and obtain an industrial certificate.
The Independent Study Program (SI) is a self-learning program where students are given theoretical knowledge as well as real projects or case studies that are worked on together. In addition, SI students are also given knowledge and skills to be ready for the industrial world. SI students will receive mentoring from professional mentors.
The characteristics of the Kampus Merdeka Independent Study Certificate are that it is based on real projects that are worked on together in a group, carried out in one semester, and mentored by professional mentors. The learning method must have a synchronous portion, where students interact directly with teachers, mentors, and other students. The learning curriculum also includes the development of soft skills related to the field of study taught, and obtaining an industrial certificate.
The timeline for the MSIB program for the 4th batch is as follows:
