Pusat Kajian Kebencanaan FMIPA UNNES sukses menyelenggarakan Webinar dengan tema “Fenomena Rob di Pantai Utara Jawa: Studi Kasus di Semarang Utara, Dampak dan Solusinya ” pada hari Kamis, 8 September 2022 pukul 09.00-12.00 WIB. Kegiatan webinar ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan dari Pusat Kajian Kebencanaan FMIPA UNNES untuk menggali dan berbagi dengan menghadirkan narasumber dari kalangan praktisi dan dosen. Narasumber pada kegiatan ini yakni Bapak Dr. Heri Andreas, ST, MT dari Kelompok Keahlian Geodesi ITB, ibu Retno Widyaningsih, S.Kom., M.Si. dari Kepala Stasiun Meteorologi Kelas II Maritim Tanjung emas Semarang dan bapak Dr. M. Aryono Adhi, M.Si dari KBK Fisika Bumi Jurusan Fisika UNNES.

Dalam paparan dari narasumber pertama, Bapak Dr. Heri Andreas, ST, MT menyatakan bahwa banjir rob ini menyebabkan banyak kerugian. Untuk mengurangi kerugian maka diperlukan manajemen resiko bencana diantaranya: monitoring, penelaahan faktor penyebab, prevensi, tanggap darurat, dan recovery serta rehabilitasi. Banjir rob terjadi akibat kenaikan muka air laut (Sea Level Rise). Sea Level Rise (SLR), salah satunya disebabkan oleh produksi gas CO2 berlebih dari industri dan ulah manusia merusak hutan.

Selanjutnya, Retno Widyaningsih, S.Kom., M.Si. mengkaji dari segi meteorologinya. Untuk mendeteksi adanya potensi banjir rob dapat diamati melalui masa fase pasang tinggi dalam bulan tersebut, prakiraan kejadian rob berlangsung 3 jam atau lebih, tinggi puncak pasang 1,1 M, adanya gelombang tinggi di pantura serta adanya potensi curah hujan yang tinggi di daerah pesisir/pegunungan Jawa Tengah. Dengan adanya informasi ini, apabila ada potensi banjir rob dapat digunakan untuk peringatan Diri dari BMKG Semarang kepada masyarakat. Berdasarkan dari tinjauan microgravity, microseismic dan elektrik dapat digunakan untuk eksplorasi struktur bumi dan kegempaan sehingga dapat bersinergi untuk menanggulangi fenomena banjir rob dan penurunan lahan di kota Semarang, ujar Dr. M. Aryono Adhi, M.Si.

Antusias peserta sangat besar terhadap webinar ini, dibuktikan dengan jumlah peserta aktif ± 160 peserta yang mengikuti acara ini dari awal hingga akhir. Dr. Khumaedi, M.Si sebagai moderator pada acara ini telah menyampaikan pengantar dan menjembatani tanya jawab antara narasumber dan peserta dengan sangat baik. Para peserta juga sangat aktif yang dibuktikan dengan ramainya kolom komentar yang ditujukan kepada para narasumber ketika sesi tanya jawab. Dengan adanya kegiatan webinar ini, diharapkan para peserta webinar memiliki wawasan yang luas akan membaca dan menyikapi resiko bencana rob di Kota Semarang sebagai langkah aplikatif dan tindak lanjut dari kegiatan webinar ini.
