Pusat kajian Sumber Daya Alam dan Lingkungan FMIPA Unnes sukses menyelenggarakan Webinar Series 1 “Biodiversitas untuk Kita dan Alam” pada hari Jumat, 19 Juni 2020 pukul 09.00-11.00 WIB.

Webinar Series 1 “Biodiversitas untuk Kita dan Alam” merupakan webinar pertama yang diselenggarakan oleh Pusat Kajian Sumber daya alam dan Lingkungan, FMIPA UNNES. Webinar dengan tema yang mengusung biodiversitas untuk kita dan alam menghadirkan dua pembicara. Pembicara pertama  dari Pusat Penelitian Biologi LIPI, Prof. Dr. Rosichon Ubaidillah, M.Phill, menjelaskan “Pandemi Covid-19 Membuka Mata Peran Biodiversitas”. Beliau menjelaskan “Live in Harmony with Nature” (environmental health, human health and animal health) menjadi one health system. Aktivitas manusia secara signifikan mengubah kerusakan habitat dan keseimbangan alam terganggu. Hilangnya biodiversitas adalah bencana. Terdapat 75% penyakit menular baru atau yang muncul adalah zoonosis, salah satunya termasuk SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19) merusak tatanan sosial dan ekonomi. Adanya zoonosis yang mengancam kesehatan manusia, sehingga perlu ada konservasi biodiversitas (lindungi alam).

Pembicara kedua merupakan pakar ilmu lingkungan dari Pusat Kajian Sumber Daya Alam dan Lingkungan FMIPA UNNES, Dr. Margaretha Rahayuningsih, M.Si. Beliau menjelaskan Konservasi Biodiversitas gunung Ungaran Jawa Tengah: Tantangan dan Pemanfaatan”. Ungaran terdapat Alliance for Zero Extinction Area dan Important Bird Area, bentang alam unik dan kearifan lokal. Ternyata, di Gunung Ungaran terdapat ancaman diantaranya perburuan liar, lokasi wisata yang menggunakan kawasan hutan. Tantangan dan pemanfaatan KEHATI Gunung Ungaran masa pandemi COVID-19 merupakan issue strategis. Tentunya perlu pelestarian hutan dan air, untuk mendukung konservasi biodiversitas.
 
Antusias peserta sangat besar terhadap tema webinar kali ini, dibuktikan dengan penuhnya pendaftaran webinar, hingga H-1 sudah tercatat 450an orang dari berbagai provinsi di Indonesia, serta dari beberapa negara seperti Jepang dan Thailand. Webinar Pusat Kajian SDA dan Lingkungan  Series #1 dilaksanakan pukul 09.00-11.00 WIB melalui platform Zoom dengan peserta aktif ± 200 peserta dari awal hingga akhir. Sedangkan pendaftar yang tidak dapat kuota, Webinar Pusat Kajian SDA dan Lingkungan  Series #1 juga menayangkan webinar ini secara langsung via Youtube Live.

Dr. Nana Kariada TM, M.Si sebagai moderator pada webinar ini telah menyampaikan pengantar dan menjembatani tanya jawab antara pembicara dengan peserta yang sangat baik.
