Chapter I – National Education Standard is the longest chapter, covering the core academic pillars of higher education. It details Graduate Competency Standards (learning outcomes, attitudes, knowledge, and skills expected of graduates), Educational Process Standards (curriculum, learning methods, and assessment), and Educational Input Standards (lecturers, staff, facilities, and financing). Each subsection presents standard content statements alongside strategies and achievement indicators for implementation.
Chapter II – Research Standards addresses the research dimension of the Tri Dharma (three pillars) of higher education. It defines Research Outcome Standards (quality and dissemination of research results) and Research Process Standards (planning, conducting, and managing research activities), including strategies such as selecting relevant research topics, strengthening researcher competencies, and providing adequate facilities.
Chapter III – Community Service Standards covers the third pillar, outlining outcome standards for community service programs and input standards covering funding, facilities, and infrastructure needed to support outreach and empowerment activities, along with monitoring and audit mechanisms.
Chapter IV – Non-NS-HE Derivative Standards addresses institutional governance beyond the core academic standards, including Identity Standards (vision, mission, objectives); Governance, Leadership, and Partnership standards; Human Resources; Facilities and Infrastructure; Financial/Financing Standards; Information System Standards (ICT governance, data security); and Risk Standards.
Overall, the book serves as UNNES’s comprehensive internal reference for planning, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving institutional quality across academic and administrative domains.
