Chapter I – Vision and Mission of UNNES traces the university’s history from its 1960 origins as part of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education through its transformations into IKIP Semarang, then UNNES in 1999, and finally its status as a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) in 2022. It presents UNNES’s vision to become a world-class, reputable university pioneering educational excellence with a conservation perspective, along with its five missions and five goals.
Chapter II – Background and Objectives of IQAS explains that UNNES’s quality assurance relies on internal and external evaluations, particularly Internal Quality Audits (IQA) reviewed through annual Management Review Meetings. It outlines four IQAS objectives and provides a glossary of key terms (HED, EQAS, SPMU, etc.).
Chapter III – Outline of IQAS Policy details the foundational principles (benefit, legal compliance, autonomy) and operational principles (accountability, transparency, effectiveness, efficiency, continuous improvement) guiding IQAS. It describes objectives, strategies, scope, and management through the PIECI cycle (Planning-Implementing-Evaluating-Controlling-Improving), the organizational structure of the Quality Assurance Office, and lists 14 National Higher Education Standards plus 8 institutional additional standards.
Chapter IV – Information on Other IQAS Instruments describes four supporting documents: the IQAS Policy itself, PIECI Cycle implementation guidelines, Standards/Criteria/Norms documents, and Procedures for Documenting IQAS Implementation.
Chapter V – Relationship Between IQAS and Other Documents clarifies how IQAS integrates with the University Statute, Strategic Plan, and Tridharma implementation (education, research, community service), emphasizing stakeholder involvement and alignment with national legal regulations governing higher education quality assurance in Indonesia.
