Universitas Negeri Semarang/Faculty of Education and Psychology/Berita/Committed to Improving Academic Quality, FIPP UNNES Encourages Continuous Evaluation through AMI 2026

SEMARANG, October 20, 2026 – The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) officially opened the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) on Tuesday (10/20/2026) at the 3rd Floor Dean’s Hall of FIPP UNNES. This annual event was attended by the leadership of FIPP UNNES, the internal audit team, the Study Program Coordinators (Koorprodi), and the lecturers at FIPP UNNES.

The implementation of the faculty-level AMI is a follow-up coordination step following the opening meeting at the UNNES Rectorate. This activity was held to agree on the audit mechanism and schedule to ensure a smoother, more effective, and more focused evaluation process at the faculty level.

In his remarks, the Dean of FIPP UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si., emphasized that although quality audit activities have been routinely held, the faculty is committed to continuously improving quality from time to time.

“Things related to AMI are routinely carried out. However, we certainly want to see continuous improvement,” said Prof. Edy Purwanto.

Prof. Edy added that all study programs at FIPP have prepared and completed data on targets and achievements, along with supporting attached documents, to facilitate the audit team’s work. He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the audit team for taking the time to oversee quality assurance at FIPP UNNES.

On the same occasion, AMI Lead Auditor, Ubaidillah Kamal, S.Pd., MH, who was present accompanied by auditor Dr. Carolina Santi Muji Utami, M.Hum., said that the presence of the auditor team focused on the facilitation function to help study programs recognize their potential and performance achievements.

“In principle, the goal of AMI is to help study programs or units describe themselves: what they’ve achieved, what their current status is, and then describe their strengths, advantages, and disadvantages. This will then help study programs achieve external accreditation, both nationally and internationally,” explained Ubaidillah Kamal.

Ubaidillah also emphasized the importance of a collaborative spirit and shared understanding between auditors and study program managers. He emphasized that auditors act as facilitators, ensuring that any incomplete or incomplete documents can be refined together for the advancement of Semarang State University. Furthermore, each auditor is required to work in pairs (two people) to maintain objectivity and consistency in their assessments.

Through the opening of AMI 2026, FIPP UNNES is optimistic that the entire series of internal quality evaluations will run successfully and strengthen the readiness of study programs in facing national and global quality assurance.
