Semarang – The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) inaugurated the FIPP Archives Building on Friday (July 31, 2026). Located behind Building A2 of FIPP, the building was built to improve the quality of archives management and support more orderly, effective, and accountable administrative governance.
The inauguration ceremony began with remarks from the Dean of FIPP UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si. In his remarks, the Dean expressed his hope that the FIPP Archives Building would serve as a means to strengthen the archives system within the faculty. Proper archives management is expected to support the smooth running of administrative services while ensuring the institution’s important documents are stored securely, organized, and easily accessible as needed.
The event continued with a prayer as an expression of gratitude for the completion of the FIPP Archives Building. A solemn atmosphere characterized the ceremony, which was attended by faculty leaders, educational staff, and members of the FIPP UNNES academic community.
As a symbol of the inauguration, the Dean of FIPP cut a tumpeng (rice cone) which was then presented to the Head of General Administration, Human Resources, and Cooperation, Yuli Dewi Lestari, S.Pd., M.M., and Noor Said, the Archives Manager. The presentation of the tumpeng served as a token of appreciation for the dedication and role of the archives managers in supporting orderly administration within the faculty.
With the inauguration of the FIPP Archives Building, it is hoped that archives management at the Faculty of Education and Psychology UNNES will become more professional, systematic, and sustainable. The existence of this facility also demonstrates FIPP UNNES’s commitment to achieving superior institutional governance and supporting quality academic and administrative services.
