SEMARANG – The Faculty of Law of Semarang State University (UNNES) continues to strive to broaden its students’ horizons through internationally scaled academic presentations. This is evidenced by the holding of the Guest Lecture on Criminology and Victimology from India on April 20, 2026.
This activity was specially designed by the faculty as a representative academic space to enrich scientific discourse and build stronger international networks. The presence of international experts among the students is expected to provide a direct comparison regarding the application of criminal law in other countries.
Substantially, this in-depth study of criminology and victimology has a very strong relevance to SDG 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities. Through a comprehensive understanding of crime patterns (criminology) and the protection of victims’ rights (victimology), higher education institutions in law also contribute to formulating ideas for a social spatial layout that is safe, inclusive, and protected from various criminal threats.
The implementation of this guest lecture represents a concrete commitment of FH UNNES in providing a legal education system that is adaptive, highly competitive, and consistently responsive to the dynamics of global issues in the modern era.
