The highlight of Language and Arts Month 2023 commemoration, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University, was held on Wednesday (25 October 2023) at the Deanery and Cultural Village, Sekaran campus, Gunungpati, Semarang. Through the annual Language and Arts Month commemoration, FBS UNNES wants to continue strengthening its role in science and become part of the international academic community.
Dean of FBS UNNES, Dr Tommi Yuniawan, said that his faculty has various specialities and advantages in language, arts and culture. The lecturers and students at FBS are superior talents who continue to improve the institution’s reputation on the national and international stage. “For this reason, this role needs to be aligned with campus demands and various achievements,” said Dr Tommi.
The highlight of the commemoration is filled with activities ranging from gymnastics, traditional art performances, and wayang performances, which will collaborate between shadow puppetry, wayang golek, and dance. On Thursday (26 October 2023), FBS UNNES celebrated at the Cultural Village.
The superior talents from FBS UNNES continue to be part of the academic community. Lecturers are encouraged to publish research results in reputable and credible international journals.
UNNES Chancellor Prof Dr S Martono said that the potential of FBS UNNES is very prominent in the field of culture. According to him, this needs to be aligned with the achievements that have become annual targets for each faculty at UNNES.(Dhoni Zustiyantoro/*)
