Unnes Serahkan Bantuan untuk Korban Longsor di Trangkil

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) kembali menyerahkan bantuan kepada korban tanah longsor di Trangkil, Kelurahan Sukorejo, Kecamatan Gunungpati, Semarang.

Bantuan 80 paket alat sekolah, berupa tas, buku, penggaris, bolpoin, pensil, dan penghapus, diserahkan oleh Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik (PR I) Unnes Dr Agus Wahyudin MSi didampingi Camat Gunungpati Bambang Pramusinto MSi, dan Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Unnes Dr Subagyo, kepada beberapa siswa, yakni Tegar Zulfan Adi Surya (siswa SD), Dista (SMP), dan Cerlinetya Krisna Dewi (SMK).

Dr Subagyo melaporkan, kegiatan yang juga merupakan rangkaian kegiatan Dies Natalis ke-49 Unnes ini diharap dapat meringankan beban warga Trangkil yang tertimpa musibah tanah longsor beberapa minggu lalu. “Ini merupakan bantuan lanjutan. Bantuan pertama sudah diserahkan beberapa hari setelah terjadi musibah,” kata Subagyo.

Dr Agus Wahyudin mengatakan, diserahkannya sumbangan ini merupakan wujud kepedulian dan pengabdian Unnes terhadap warga Trangkil, yang jaraknya tak begitu jauh dari lokasi kampus. “Bencana ini semoga tidak menyurutkan kehendak bapak dan ibu untuk menyekolahkan putra-putri,” katanya, seraya menyampaikan salam dari Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman yang sedang menghadiri acara yang diselenggarakan Ditjen Dikti di Jakarta.

Lanjutkan Studi

Dalam kesempatan itu Dr Agus juga menyampaikan, pemerintah sudah menyediakan beasiswa Bidikmisi untuk siswa berprestasi akademik namun kurang mampu secara ekonomi. Menurutnya, Unnes tahun 2013 telah membebaskan biaya kuliah 1.850 mahasiswa dan memberi mereka biaya biaya hidup sebesar Rp 600 ribu setaip bulan sampai lulus.

“Bila dijumlah, mulai tahun 2010 sampai 2013 ini Unnes sudah membebaskan 5.500 mahasiswa. Maka bersemangatlah sekolah sampai ke jenjang perguruan tinggi, syukur masuk Unnes,” tegasnya.

Sementara itu, Camat Gunungpati Bambang Pramusinto MSi mengatakan, pemerintah Kota Semarang selalu menunjukkan kepedulian terhadap warganya yang tertimpa musibah. Untuk musibah di Trangkil, dia mengatakan, tindakan nyata telah ditunjukkan melalui penyaluran sejumlah bantuan secara berkesinambungan, merelokasi ke Rusun Kaligawe, hingga membenahi infrastruktur di lokasi kejadian.

Tegar Zulfan Adi Surya, salah satu korban yang masih duduk di bangku SD mengaku senang atas bantuan yang diberikan. “Saya senang sekali mendapat bantuan dari Unnes ini untuk sekolah,” kata Adi, sapaan akrabnya.

Rumah siswa kelas VI SD Sekaran 2 yang didiami bersama dua saudara, ayah, dan ibunya itu roboh. Untuk sementara, mereka tinggal di rumah sang paman. “Setelah lulus nanti ingin meneruskan ke sekolah negeri membantu ayah,” harapnya.

Senada dengan Adi, Cerlinetya Krisna Dewi, siswa kelas 10 SMK 4 Semarang juga merasa senang mendapat bantuan dari Unnes. “Peralatan sekolah bisa membantu meringankan beban orangtua,” katanya.
