Liga Mahasiswa Badminton Yuzu Isotonic Central Java and Special Region of Yogyakarta Conference kembali digelar, untuk season yang ke-8 kali ini bertempat di Gelora Universitas Semarang mulai tanggal 8-15 maret 2020. Pada Liga Mahasiswa Badminton season 8 ini diikuti oleh 13 perguruan tinggi yang ada di jawa tengah, diantaranya Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Universitas semarang (USM), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo, dan perguruan tinggi lainnya.

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) sebagai salah satu tim unggulan di Liga Mahasiswa Badminton Central Java pada season 8 ini telah berhasil menyabet juara pada tiga nomor sekaligus, pada nomor tunggal putra UNNES yang diwakili oleh Syaherdian berhasil mengalahkan Ahmad Faiz (UGM) pada partai final dengan kemenangan 2 game sekaligus 21-14, 21-13. Kemudian pada nomor tunggal putri Reynanda Dwi Saputri sebagai wakil dari Universitas Negeri Semarang berhasil menyabet gelar juara setelah mengalahkan wakil dari Universitas Gajagh Mada Michelle Gabriela dengan kemenangan yang cukup telak 21-14, 21-14. Dan di nomor ganda campuran UNNES kembali membawa pulang kemenangan setelah mengalahkan wakil dari USM dengan skor 8-21, 21-16, 11-7, UNNES diwakili oleh Amira Zerlin dan M Fikri dan dari USM diwakili olehAldika Fanisha dan Tri Wahyudi.

Dengan begitu UNNES telah mengantongi 3 juara kategori perseorangan pada hari kedua penyelenggaraan ajang Liga Mahasiswa Badminton Yuzu Isotonic Central Java and Special Region of Yogyakarta Conference Season 8.
