Dosen Program Studi Fisika FMIPA UNNES Melakukan Kegiatan Visiting Researchers Di Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

Pada hari Selasa hingga Jumat, 3 – 6 Oktober 2023, dosen Program Studi Fisika FMIPA UNNES telah melakukan kegiatan Visiting Researchers di Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (FKE UTM). Kegiatan ini terdiri dari rapat koordinasi dengan pejabat FKE UTM, Guest Lecture, diskusi kolaborasi riset dan kunjungan laboratorium. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu implementasi kegiatan penelitian kerjasama luar negeri QS100 yang didanai oleh DIPA UNNES tahun 2023. 

Pada kegiatan tersebut tim penelitian kerjasama yang diketuai oleh Dr. Ian Yulianti, M.Eng. dan anggota peneliti Dr. Budi Astuti, M.Sc. telah diterima dengan baik oleh Dekan Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik (FKE) UTM Prof. Dr. Jefri Din, Prof. Dr. Syed Abdul Rahman bin Syed Abu Bakar selaku timbalan dekan bagian Akademik, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Nurul Mu’azzah Binti Abdul Latif selaku Ketua Devisi Teknik Komunikasi, Prof. Ir. Dr. Sevia Mahdaliza Binti Idrus dan Dr. Muhammad Yusof Mohd Noor sebagai peneliti kolaborator dari Lightwave Communication Research Group (LCRG). 

Dekan FKE UTM, Prof. Jafri menyambut baik kegiatan kerjasama penelitian ini dan diharapkan di masa depan dapat juga diwujudkan dalam bentuk kerjasama yang lain untuk pencapaian kinerja kedua belah pihak. Meskipun MoU antara UNNES dan UTM telah ada, Prof Jafri menyampaikan perlu adanya dokumen resmi kesepakatan kerjasama (MoA) antara FKE UTM dan FMIPA UNNES sebagai payung hukum dalam pelaksanaan kerjasama yang akan dilakukan oleh kedua belah pihak di masa depan. Terakhir prof Jafri menyampaikan selamat datang Kembali di FKE UTM mengingat kedua anggota tim peneliti Fisika UNNES merupakan alumni FKE UTM.

Dalam kegiatan Guest Lecture, materi pertama disampaikan oleh Dr. Ian Yulianti, M.Eng mengenai Waveguide optik dan aplikasinya untuk sensor, dilanjutkan pemaparan materi SiCOI thin film untuk aplikasi Schottky Diode oleh Dr. Budi Astuti, M.Sc. Kegiatan Guest Lecture ini dihadiri oleh dosen dari lingkungan FKE UTM.  Terakhir dilakukan diskusi mengenai penelitian lanjutan untuk tahun 2024.

Pada hari berikutnya yaitu Kamis tanggal 5 Oktober 2023 dilakukan forum group discussion mengenai draft artikel yang merupakan luaran wajib dari penelitian kerjasama luar negeri QS100.  Selanjutnya tim peneliti UNNES melakukan kunjungan laboratorium untuk melihat fasilitas yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian kerjasama berikutnya. Diharapkan kunjungan ini dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi FMIPA UNNES.

Selain kegiatan Visiting Researchers, tim peneliti Prodi Fisika FMIPA UNNES juga melakukan kegiatan inisiasi kerjasama antara FKE UTM dan Program Studi Fisika FMIPA UNNES sebagai tindak lajut dari hasil rapat koordinasi dengan pejabat FKE berupa penyusunan Letter of Agreement (LoA).
