Mantapkan Posisi Internasional, Tiga Prodi FT UNNES Jalani Visitasi Internasional ASIIN

Sejalan dengan visi menjadi universitas bereputasi dunia, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus berkomiten dalam posisinya di kancah internasional. Kali ini tiga Program Studi (Prodi) yang berada di Fakultas Teknik (FT) UNNES mengusulkan untuk mendapatkan akreditasi internasional Akkreditierungsagentur fur Studiengange der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik (ASIIN). Ketiga prodi tersebut adalah Teknik Kimia, Pendidikan Teknik Mesin dan Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif.

ASIIN adalah lembaga independen yang berbasis di Jerman yang melakukan penjaminan kualitas suatu program bergelar dalam disiplin ilmu diantaranya Teknik, Informatika, Ilmu Alam dan Matematika. Dimulai tahun 2000, ASIIN telah mendapat hak dalam memberikan stempel akreditasi dari Dewan Akreditasi Jerman . Selain itu, ASIIN juga telah terdaftar dalam European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) yang mana EQAR sendiri telah masuk dalam daftar register akreditasi yang diakui di Indonesia.

Kegiatan visitasi akreditasi ASIIN berlangsung selama tiga hari, Senin – Rabu (29/4-1/5). Terdapat tim asessor ASIIN yang turut serta dalam rangkaian kegiatan. Tim yang terdiri dari Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joachim Frech, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Nissing, Prof. Ir. Johnner P. Sitompul, M.Sc., Ph.D., Mr. Reizaldi Gustino, Mr. Hariyadi, dan Dr. Michael Meyer, hadir mengevaluasi tiga program studi unggulan fakultas teknik.

Hadir dalam pembukaan kegiatan ini Rektor UNNES, Para Wakil Rektor, para pimpinan dan Direktur dan Dekan Fakultas Teknik.

Dalam sambutannya, Rektor UNNES, Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si. mengucapkan selamat datang untuk para asesor dan menyambut baik kegiatan visitasi ASIIN ini. Prof Martono berharap kegiatan visitasi yang berlangsung selama tiga hari ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar dengan hasil yang memuaskan.

Rangkaian kegiatan visitasi hari pertama dimulai dengan sesi tanya jawab menyeluruh yang dilakukan peer review ASIIN dengan pengelola universitas, fakultas, dan program studi. Hari kedua dilanjutkan sesi tanya jawab dengan mahasiswa, alumni, mitra, dan dosen, sementara pada hari terakhir dilakukan pengecekan fasilitas dan laboratorium.

Dekan Fakultas Teknik, Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T., menyampaikan harapannya bahwa melalui akreditasi ASIIN, reputasi Program Studi dapat ditingkatkan di tingkat dunia, sejalan dengan visi misi UNNES dan Fakultas Teknik untuk menjadi universitas pelopor kecemerlangan pendidikan yang berwawasan konservasi di dunia.
