Komitmen Universitas Negeri Semarang untuk menjadi Universitas berwawasan konservasi, bereputasi internasional, dan berdampak semakin ditingkatkan. UNNES hadir bukan hanya sebagai kampus yang menghasilkan lulusan, publikasi, dan capaian global ranking, tetapi juga kampus yang mentransformasi kehidupan masyarakat. Selaras dengan hal tersebut, Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) UNNES memberikan pendampingan bagi para peneliti melalui kegiatan bertajuk “Workshop Series – Strategy for Winning International Research Grant 2025”.

Workshop ini dibagi menjadi tiga series yang memperkenalkan peluang sumber pendanaan penelitian dari United Kingdom, Australia, dan Uni Eropa. Setelah sukses menyelenggarakan Seri 1 pada 28 Juli 2025, kegiatan berlanjut dengan Seri 2 pada Jumat, 22 Agustus 2025, bertempat di Ruang Borobudur Lantai 3 Gedung LPPM UNNES.

Pada Seri 2 ini, workshop menghadirkan peluang dana riset dari KONEKSI (Knowledge Partnership Platform – Australia Indonesia), sebuah program kemitraan antara Australia dan Indonesia yang didukung oleh Pemerintah Australia untuk mendorong kolaborasi penelitian dan inovasi antara kedua negara. Acara dibuka secara resmi oleh Prof. Dr. Ratna Dewi Kusumaningtyas, M.T., selaku Ketua Gugus Kerja Sama LPPM UNNES.

Sebagai narasumber utama, Dr. Irene Pingkan Umboh (Ketua Bidang Kemitraan KONEKSI) menyampaikan materi tentang strategi dan peluang pendanaan riset melalui KONEKSI. Diskusi dimoderatori oleh Zulfa Sakhiyya, Ph.D. (Dosen Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni UNNES) yang juga merupakan salah satu penerima hibah riset KONEKSI dengan judul penelitian “Adaptasi Iklim Inklusif: Peran Jaringan Advokasi Iklim Perempuan”. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Dr. Zulfa turut berbagi pengalaman praktis dan tips dalam mengajukan proposal hingga berhasil mendapatkan pendanaan internasional.

Kegiatan berlangsung interaktif dengan brainstorming quiz, pemaparan materi, serta sesi tanya jawab bersama peserta yang menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi. Hal ini memperlihatkan semangat para peneliti UNNES untuk terus berinovasi dan memperluas jejaring riset dalam skala nasional maupun global.

Dr. Irene Pingkan Umboh menegaskan bahwa riset-riset yang didukung KONEKSI menekankan pentingnya kemitraan multidisiplin, keterlibatan berbagai organisasi, sensitivitas terhadap GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion), serta dampak nyata terhadap kebijakan, masyarakat, maupun teknologi.

Pelaksanaan Workshop Series – Strategy for Winning International Research Grant 2025 ini merupakan langkah akselerasi UNNES dalam mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, dengan membuka peluang kolaborasi penelitian melalui pendanaan internasional.

Selanjutnya, kegiatan workshop series ini akan dilanjutkan ke Seri 3 yang membahas tentang peluang hibah riset Uni Eropa pada bulan September mendatang. Dengan penyelenggaraan berkelanjutan ini, UNNES semakin menunjukkan kesiapannya untuk meningkatkan reputasi, peringkat internasional, serta kontribusi nyata bagi kemajuan bangsa.
