Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat dari Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melaksanakan kegiatan Hilirisasi Riset Ecoprint Motif Tulang Daun Dan Pewarna Alami Mahoni Sebagai Produk Industri Kreatif Desa Ngesrepbalong Kabupaten Kendal yang didanai oleh Kemendiktisaintek melalui Program Hilirisasi Riset Prioritas-Sinergi 2025.

Hilirisasi teknologi ecoprint sebagai upaya mengembangkan inovasi ramah lingkungan yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi.

Kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari program hilirisasi riset yang tidak hanya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat, tetapi juga pada pembangunan ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.

Program ini dilaksanakan dengan menggandeng kelompok industri mikro kreatif “Omah Sawah” sebagai mitra pengguna di Desa Ngresepbalong.

Kelompok ini telah bergerak dalam seni dan kriya lokal, termasuk ecoprint, namun masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal akses teknologi, pelatihan, dan pengembangan produk berbasis mahoni.

Program ini dilaksanakan dengan menggandeng kelompok industri mikro kreatif “Omah Sawah” sebagai mitra pengguna di Desa Ngresepbalong.

Kelompok ini telah bergerak dalam seni dan kriya lokal, termasuk ecoprint, namun masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal akses teknologi, pelatihan, dan pengembangan produk berbasis mahoni.

DLH memiliki mandat dalam pelestarian vegetasi lokal dan pengembangan ekonomi lingkungan yang ramah terhadap alam.

Keterlibatan DLH memperkuat sinergi antara riset, pemberdayaan komunitas, dan kebijakan daerah berbasis keberlanjutan.

Melalui kegiatan ini, peserta mendapatkan pelatihan mulai dari pemilihan bahan baku dasar mahoni untuk bahan dasar tulang daun dan pewarna alami, pengenalan teknik ecoprint, diversifikasi produk ecoprint, hingga strategi pengemasan dan pemasaran produk.

Tim pengabdian terdiri dari Prof. Dr. Margareta Rahayuningsih, M.Si. sebagai ketua, Karsinah, S.E. M.Si., Dante Alighiri, S.Si. M.Sc., Dra. Widowati, M.Pd. dan Godham Eko Saputro, S.Sn. M.Ds.

Kegiatan ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari riset pengembangan teknologi ecoprint motif tulang daun mahoni, yang sebelumnya dikembangkan di PUI PT Botanical Eco-Creation.

Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan, tim juga memperkenalkan konsep produksi berkelanjutan dengan memanfaatkan limbah daun dan bahan alam sekitar sebagai sumber motif dan pewarna.

Pendekatan ini tidak hanya ramah lingkungan, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya konservasi sumber daya hayati.

Peserta kegiatan menyambut antusias program ini karena membuka peluang usaha baru di bidang fashion dan kriya ramah lingkungan.

Beberapa hasil karya peserta berupa kain, tas, syal bermotif ecoprint dan juga hasil kriya tulang daun yang diaplikasikan pada media anyaman pandan berupa topi, pouce, tas yang akan dipamerkan dalam mini showcase di kegiatan Inovasi Award LPPM Unnes.

Selanjutnya akan dipromosikan melalui video promosi yang akan bekerja sama dengan Balai Industri Kreatif.
