Semarang, November 17, 2025 – Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) proudly announces the final results of the 2025 National Conservation Essay Competition. With the unique theme “Conserving Traditional Children’s Games,” the competition successfully raised awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage through folk games.

More than 400 students from 80 universities across Indonesia participated in the competition. A rigorous judging process involving cultural and conservation experts selected essays that offered creative and implementable solutions for preserving traditional games amidst the onslaught of modern technology.

The UNNES Conservation Sub-Directorate gives its highest appreciation to the 20 Best Essays, which demonstrate in-depth research and brilliant ideas related to the conservation of this intangible cultural heritage. These works will form an integral part of the official publication, which can be found on the Conservation Rainbow Essay Book page.
