Semarang, June 25, 2025 – The Conservation Subdirectorate of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held an important event aimed at increasing the understanding and support of young lecturers towards UNNES’ vision as a conservation-oriented university. This event is expected to strengthen the commitment of all academicians in realizing UNNES as a sustainable green campus.

The event was officially opened by the Director of Academic, Student Affairs, and Conservation, Mr. Mulyo Widodo, S.Pd., M.M. In his remarks, Mr. Mulyo Widodo conveyed the main objective of this activity, namely to socialize and internalize conservation values ​​to the young generation of UNNES lecturers. He emphasized that the active role of young lecturers is crucial in integrating conservation aspects into the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service.

The interactive discussion at this event was guided by Teguh Prihanto, S.T., M.T. as the moderator. As the main speaker, the Head of the Values, Character, Arts and Culture Section, Mr. Dr. Ir. Ananto Aji, M.S., invited all young lecturers to play an active role in various conservation-themed activities. He explained that this active participation will not only support UNNES’ reputation in the UI Green Metric ranking that assesses campus sustainability, but also contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).

Mr. Ananto Aji also highlighted the importance of innovation and creativity of young lecturers in formulating conservation programs that are relevant to their respective fields of science. Thus, UNNES can continue to be a pioneer in environmental conservation efforts and sustainable community development. It is hoped that through this activity, young lecturers will be increasingly motivated to become agents of change that have a positive impact on the environment and society.
