Semarang, September 30, 2025 – Semarang State University (UNNES), as a Conservation Campus, in collaboration with the Akar Banir Indonesia Foundation, successfully held a seminar titled “Empower Roadshow: Driving Sustainable Energy Transition.” Supported by PLN Peduli (PLN Indonesia Power), the event provided a platform for cross-sector dialogue to strengthen synergy and foster concrete action toward sustainable energy.
Held in the 2nd Floor Auditorium of the Prof. Satmoko Building, UNNES, the seminar attracted a total of 190 participants, comprising 100 in-person attendees and 90 online via Zoom. The majority were UNNES students and lecturers. This turnout far exceeded initial expectations.
The seminar, which ran from 8:00 a.m. to close, featured renowned experts in the energy sector, demonstrating the strong commitment of various parties to the success of the energy transition agenda.
The keynote speakers at this seminar included:
- F. Erwin Putranto, Senior Manager of PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Semarang.
- Windy Febriasari, Vice President of Corporate Planning and Sustainability at PLN Indonesia Power.
- Prof. Dr. Eng. Eniya Listiani Dewi, B.Eng., M.Eng., IPU, Director General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
- Prof. Samsudin Anis, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Professor at UNNES.
In addition to expert presentations, the event also included remarks from the Vice Rector I of UNNES, followed by an opening statement and a report from the Chair of the Committee, Prof. Dr. Nana Kariada Tri Martuti, M.Si., Head of the UNNES Conservation Sub-Directorate. The discussion and Q&A session were moderated by Dr. Ir. Ananto Aji, M.S., from UNNES.
This seminar aims to provide an understanding of the concepts and practices of sustainable energy transitions, as well as to formulate ideas and recommendations for collaboration in support of clean energy.
It is hoped that this seminar will:
- Increase the insight and knowledge of students, lecturers, and the public on sustainable energy issues.
- Enhance collaboration between universities, government, companies (industry), and NGOs in supporting the energy transition.
- Serve as a medium for communication and public advocacy for environmentally friendly energy policies.
The closing ceremony marked the end of the seminar, with the hope of creating a shared understanding and a strong collaborative network for the concrete implementation of the energy transition in society.
