As a continuation of the 2024 UGSR Workshop II with the theme Energy & Climate Change and Water which was held on 12 June 2024, the Subdirectorate held Workshop III with the theme Transportation and Waste on Monday 24 June 2024 which was attended by junior and senior high school green school developers from 6 regions throughout -Indonesia (Central Java, East Java, West Java, East Kalimantan, Bali and Yogyakarta).
This workshop aims to provide information and at the same time strategies for filling out indicator forms in the 2024 UGSR within the scope of transportation and waste criteria. As a resource person in the Workshop was Sudiyono, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering UNNES) and M. Fikri Amrullah, S.Pd., M.Pd.. (Lecturer in Geography UNNES). Both of them are members of the UI Greenmetric UNNES (World Level Green Campus Ranking) team.
The Transportation theme discusses 8 indicators, namely: (1) Average percentage of cars per day; (2) Average percentage of motorbikes per day: (3) Average percentage of bicycles per day: (4) Percentage of permanent pedestrians; (5) Media to socialize environmentally friendly transportation/walking culture; (6) Regulations limiting the use of private vehicles; (7) Vehicle use regulations and (8) Environmentally friendly transportation / walking / cycling campaigns. Meanwhile, the Waste Theme discusses 10 indicators, namely: (1) Waste sorting in the school environment; (2) Processing organic waste into compost; (3) Inorganic waste processing; (4) Reuse of organic waste; (5) Reuse of inorganic waste; (6) Waste processing equipment; (7) Waste transportation fleet; (8) Superior products produced in terms of waste management; (9) Waste management regulations; and (10) Waste awareness campaign.
