Semarang, November 4, 2024 – The Conservation Subdirectorate of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a Technical Guidance (BIMTEK) for Beginner-Level Nature Conservation Cadres in 2024 at the UNNES LPPP Building (Prof. Satmoko Building). This activity was attended by representatives of faculties and UKM at Semarang State University.
This activity is one of the efforts made to realize UNNES’ vision of becoming a world-renowned university and a pioneer of conservation-oriented education. In addition, this activity is also a way to recruit conservation cadres, especially at the beginner level at UNNES.
Conservation cadres themselves are individuals or groups of people who have been educated to act as successors to conservation efforts, and are willing and able to convey conservation values to the community.
The 2024 Beginner Level Nature Conservation Cadre BIMTEK was held on Saturday to Sunday on November 2-3, 2024. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) greatly appreciates this activity, many positive impressions were also conveyed by the participants of this BIMTEK. One participant conveyed the impression “This activity is very memorable for me and I remember it all the time. There are many benefits, knowledge, and experience that I get. Hopefully the Conservation Cadres will always be successful” and there was also a message that he conveyed “Don’t be afraid of the obstacles that exist, but don’t give up if it’s not what you like. We can because we want to learn and we know because we want to listen.”.
All kinds of impressions and messages from the participants will certainly be input so that the next activity can be better and more interesting, so that more UNNES students are interested in participating in this activity.
Hopefully, the implementation of the 2024 Beginner Level Nature Conservation Cadre BIMTEK can bring positive changes both in the campus environment and in society as the role of the Conservation Cadre, namely as an initiator, facilitator, motivator, and playing an active role in realizing the three pillars of conservation, namely the pillar of values & character, the pillar of art & culture, and the pillar of natural resources & the environment.
