Semarang, 7 July 2025 – The Duta Mangrove Indonesia (DMI) 2026 program is now officially open for registration. Organized by the Yayasan Mangrove Indonesia Lestari (YMIL), this national initiative seeks to cultivate youth leadership in the field of environmental advocacy and mangrove conservation. Registration is free of charge and open to youth across Indonesia aged 18 to 25, including students from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES).
As an annual program launched in 2023, DMI leverages mangrove ecosystems as a gateway issue to raise broader awareness and involvement in environmental and community-based sustainability efforts. This aligns with UNNES’s vision as a Conservation University, supporting the active role of students in environmental and civic engagement.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Aged 18–25 years and unmarried
- Minimum height: 160 cm (female) and 165 cm (male)
- Submission of CV and recent semi-formal photo
- Active social media presence and interest in environmental issues
- Availability for all program stages (online and offline)
- Ability to design and present a feasible community-based project
- Required to upload a registration twibbon on social media with hashtag: #dutamangroveindonesia #onemanonemangrove
