Semarang, November 28, 2025 — As part of the commemoration of National Electricity Day and Indonesian Tree Planting Day (HMPI) 2025, PT PLN (Persero) successfully carried out a conservation action planting 600 avocado tree seedlings in the Bandungan area, Semarang Regency.
The activity, themed “Roots of Energy,” was a concrete form of the PLN Peduli Program and was carried out in close collaboration with Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) through its Conservation Sub-Directorate.
In this initiative, 600 avocado seedlings were planted with the aim of enhancing environmental conservation and supporting food resilience in the Bandungan area.
The event was attended by about 200 participants, including representatives of PT PLN (Persero) and several of its subsidiaries, residents of Candi Village in Bandungan, and the UNNES Conservation Sub-Directorate team.
The program began with important speeches from various parties involved:
- A UNNES representative, Prof. Dr. Nana Kariada Tri Martuti, M.Si., Head of the UNNES Conservation Sub-Directorate, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between state-owned enterprises and educational institutions in realizing environmental conservation.
- A representative from PLN, the **General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) UID Central Java and DIY.
- A representative of the Regional Government, from the Central Java Environment and Forestry Office (DLHK).
After a video presentation, the event continued with a symbolic hand-over of avocado tree seedlings. The main highlight was the planting ceremony and a visit to the planting site, which continued through the morning.
This avocado tree planting action in Bandungan strengthens PLN’s commitment to supporting the transformation toward greener energy, and also serves as an inspiration for the community to participate in preserving the environment.
