Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) continues to be committed to supporting the achievements of lecturers in the field of educational development at the national and international levels. This achievement was received by a Lecturer of the Javanese Literature Study Program at the Faculty of Culture and Literature (FBS) UNNES, Dr. Hj. Prembayun Miji Lestari, M.Hum.. The Senior Lecturer of Javanese Literature UNNES received the Outstanding Alumni award from Sebelas Maret University (UNS) for his dedication in the academic field and the development of Javanese culture.
Dr. Prembayun, who is an alumnus of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) UNS, currently serves as the Head of the Javanese Literature Study Program at the Faculty of Culture and Literature (FBS) UNNES received the 2024 UNS Alumni Achievement award. The award was presented directly in the context of the celebration of UNS’s 48th Anniversary at the Inauguration Night of the 2024 UNS Alumni Achievement Award Recipients, on Thursday (7/3) evening at the Ballroom of the Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building UNS.
The Head of the Javanese Literature Study Program completed his studies at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UNS with brilliant achievements before continuing his academic career at UNNES. Under his leadership, the Javanese Literature Study Program at UNNES has experienced many innovations and significant progress, both in the curriculum and community service activities that focus on preserving Javanese culture.
Acting Rector of UNS, Dr. Chatarina Muliana, S.H., S.E., M.H., gave her appreciation to all alumni who had been selected. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of the active role of alumni in the development of UNS and their real contribution to the life of society. The strong UNS alumni network, both at the faculty and university levels, is the strength of UNS’s development as a State Legal Entity University (PTNBH).
UNNES hopes that this award can continue to encourage and inspire students and other academic staff to achieve high achievements and make real contributions to society.
