Dua mahasiswa asal VIA University College, Denmark, mengikuti perkuliahan di Program Studi (Prodi) Ilmu Sejarah Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). Keduanya telah berada di Semarang selama enam minggu untuk menjalani kunjungan akademik singkat.

Kedua mahasiswa tersebut adalah Cecilie Andersen dan Clara Bucio Broch-Mikkelsen. Mereka mengikuti perkuliahan mata kuliah Konservasi Sosial yang diampu dosen Muzzaki Bashori di Gedung C2, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) UNNES, Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang, Jumat (6/3/2026).

Sebelum perkuliahan dimulai, Cecilie dan Clara terlebih dahulu memperkenalkan diri di hadapan sekitar 40 mahasiswa semester dua yang mengikuti kelas tersebut. Setelah itu, keduanya duduk bersama mahasiswa lain untuk mengikuti jalannya perkuliahan.

Dalam kelas tersebut, materi yang dibahas berkaitan dengan keanekaragaman budaya di Indonesia. Selain menyimak penjelasan dosen, kedua mahasiswa juga mengamati proses pembelajaran dan interaksi yang terjadi di dalam kelas.

Cecilie Andersen mengaku tertarik mempelajari sejarah Indonesia dan pendekatan pedagogi yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah di UNNES.

“Saya sangat menantikan kesempatan untuk melakukan kunjungan akademik singkat dan mengamati langsung perkuliahan di Program Studi Sejarah. Saya memiliki ketertarikan besar pada sejarah Indonesia dan pendekatan pengajaran di UNNES,” ujar Cecilie.

Ia menambahkan, pengalaman menyaksikan proses perkuliahan secara langsung memberikan wawasan akademik dan budaya yang berharga untuk dibawa kembali ke studinya di Denmark.

Sementara itu, Clara Bucio Broch-Mikkelsen mengatakan bahwa ia sedang menjalani program praktik mengajar dengan fokus utama pada mata pelajaran sejarah. Selain itu, ia juga mempelajari musik dan telah menyelesaikan pendidikan sebagai guru bahasa Inggris. “Saya sangat tertarik melihat secara langsung bagaimana sejarah diajarkan di kelas perguruan tinggi, khususnya di Indonesia,” kata Clara.

Koordinator Program Studi Ilmu Sejarah UNNES, Mukhamad Shokheh, Ph.D, mengatakan kunjungan tersebut menjadi kesempatan bagi mahasiswa internasional untuk melihat praktik pengajaran sejarah di Prodi Ilmu Sejarah secara langsung. “Mereka ingin mengetahui bagaimana praktik pengajaran sejarah di Indonesia, melihat langsung bagaimana sejarah diajarkan di kelas perguruan tinggi,” jelas Shokheh.

Menurutnya, kedua mahasiswa tersebut juga menunjukkan ketertarikan pada berbagai topik seperti sejarah Indonesia, konservasi sosial, serta keragaman suku dan budaya di Indonesia, termasuk upaya memajukan kebudayaan serta berbagai persoalan yang dihadapi dan solusinya.

Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga menjadi langkah awal untuk membangun kerja sama pendidikan antara Program Studi Ilmu Sejarah UNNES dengan institusi mitra luar negeri, khususnya VIA University College Denmark. “Melalui kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat terjadi pertukaran pengalaman antara mahasiswa sejarah Indonesia dengan mahasiswa dari luar negeri,” pungkasnya.
