Semarang– Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) bekerjasama dengan Yayasan Madani Berkelanjutan, menggelar Seminar Nasional dan Pemutaran Film bertajuk DEMO(K)RAS(I) pada hari Jumat (12/9) di Aula C7. Kegiatan ini bertujuan mendorong Mahasiswa agar tidak hanya memahami esensi persoalan keadilan iklim, tetapi juga untuk mentransformasikannya menjadi narasi yang dapat diperjuangkan melalui karya film independen.

Film Demo(k)ras(i) menyajikan sorotan terhadap realitas krisis iklim, yang tidak hanya berdampak secara fisik tetapi juga secara sosial, khususnya bagi kelompok rentan. Film ini juga secara kritis mempertanyakan sejauh mana aspirasi masyarakat terakomodasi dalam kebijakan iklim nasional. Penulisan filosofis judul dengan huruf “K” dan “I” yang ditempatkan dalam tanda kurung merepresentasikan simbol demo atau aksi, sekaligus menggambarkan dinamika demokrasi iklim yang sedang diuji dan memerlukan penguatan. Narasumber acara ini meliputi Sutradara Demo(k)ras(i) Ansania Aghnetta, perwakilan Yayasan Madani Berkelanjutan Yosi Amelia, Dosen Ilmu Komunikasi UNNES Himmatul Ulya, S.IP., M.I.Kom., serta aktivis WALHI Jateng Nur Cholils. Mereka menegaskan bahwa perjuangan keadilan iklim harus dilakukan melalui kolaborasi lintas sektor.

Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik UNNES menekankan urgensi keberlanjutan kerja sama ini. “Semoga kolaborasi antara Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi dan Yayasan Madani dapat terus berlanjut di masa mendatang dan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia,” demikian ujarnya. Sementara itu, Yosi Amelia menambahkan bahwa institusi pendidikan tinggi memegang peran strategis dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat. “Sebagai lembaga non-pemerintah, kami tidak dapat beroperasi secara mandiri. Kolaborasi dengan perguruan tinggi dapat mendorong penelitian, riset, hingga advokasi kebijakan. Dengan demikian, kapasitas masyarakat dapat diperkuat secara kolektif,” jelasnya.

Selain sebagai media advokasi, pemutaran film juga dianggap efektif dalam menyampaikan suatu pesan, bagi sutradara Ansania Aghnetta, film menjadi sarana yang efektif untuk mengadvokasi isu iklim. ” Menonton film melibatkan lebih dari satu indra, jadi pesannya bisa terasa lebih kuat. Kalau hanya didengar, biasanya cepat terlupakan. Tapi lewat film, penonton bisa sekaligus mendengar dan melihat, sehingga pesan yang dibawa lebih membekas dan memberi dampak. Inilah yang membuat film jadi medium yang kuat, bahkan bisa berfungsi sebagai alat propaganda yang efektif.” ungkapnya. Acara ini tidak hanya sekadar pemutaran film, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai platform diskusi yang mempertemukan mahasiswa, akademisi, aktivis, hingga pembuat film. Dari penyelenggaraan acara ini, diharapkan akan tercipta kesadaran kolektif bahwa krisis iklim membutuhkan suara kritis dari generasi muda serta aksi nyata demi mewujudkan keadilan iklim di Indonesia.
