SEMARANG, November 2, 2026 The Dean of the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES), Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Sc., directly presented medals and certificates of appreciation to the PPK Ormawa SGL PGSD UNNES Team during the morning assembly at the FIPP UNNES Dean’s Courtyard, Monday (11/2/2026). This award presentation was carried out as a form of official appreciation from the faculty leadership for the team’s success in winning two national trophies at the 2026 Ormawa Abdidaya Award event held at the Muslim University of Indonesia (UMI), Makassar, South Sulawesi. In the national level competition, the SGL PGSD FIPP UNNES Team successfully won the title of Best 2 Most Complete Expo Stand and Best 3 Implementation Team with the Most Innovative Poster.

This proud achievement was achieved through the implementation of a community empowerment program entitled NGREMBAKA AKSARA which was held in Podorejo Village, Ngaliyan District, Semarang City. Accompanied by Supervising Lecturer Nur Indah Wahyuni, S.Pd., M.Pd., the team carried the topic of Smart Village/Village through the integration of four cross-generational Literacy Corners: Pojok Tunas Ngrembaka for children, Pojok Karya Ngrembaka for teenagers, Pojok Cakra Ngrembaka for productive age people and MSMEs, and Pojok Kersa Ngrembaka for the elderly.

During the program’s implementation from June to October 2026, the team conducted 88 learning meetings and summarized the results of community work through the Podo Gelar Ngrembaka Festival, successfully achieving a 100 percent target across all 13 success indicators.

At the Makassar exhibition, the team implemented a Javanese-themed stand, symbolizing local wisdom and integrating empowerment materials. The stand featured a variety of integrated products, including IPR-licensed books, non-formal curriculum guides, learning modules, a Hosting Library, and edupreneur products created by local communities. This comprehensiveness of materials and visual aesthetics earned the team the title of Best 2nd Most Complete Expo Stand.

Meanwhile, the program poster won the Best 3 Most Innovative Poster award thanks to its clear visual flow and novel model of cross-generational literacy integration. To ensure the program’s sustainability, the team has also established the Jagad Aksara community organization, which involves 45 local cadres.

Dean of FIPP UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si., expressed his pride and appreciation for the hard work of all elements involved in this achievement.

“On behalf of the leadership, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the supervising lecturers and the PPK Ormawa team for winning these two awards. I hope this achievement motivates us to continue achieving and encourages others to do the same. Congratulations, and may it bring blessings to us all,” said Prof. Edy.

In line with this, the Head of the PPK Ormawa SGL PGSD UNNES 2026 Team, Farid Fikri Khoirul Rasyid, emphasized that this achievement was the result of close collaboration between students, academics, and the Podorejo Village community.

“We want this stand to be a complete picture of NGREMBAKA AKSARA’s journey. Each work and product we display tells a story about the learning process, mentoring, and collaboration with the Podorejo Village community. For us, a complete stand isn’t just about the number of products on display, but how each product demonstrates that this program is truly present, growing, and providing benefits to the community,” said Farid.

The success of the SGL PGSD Team also reinforces FIPP UNNES’s commitment to supporting a student climate that is high-achieving, innovative, and oriented toward sustainable community service. FIPP UNNES consistently facilitates and supports student organizations in developing programs that have a real impact on the wider community.
