Semarang, March 10, 2025  – The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), Semarang State University (UNNES), awarded a Rp500,000 coaching grant to Safina Tasya Afida, a student in the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education (PGPAUD) program, for her achievement in the  Online National Competition . This award is a token of the faculty’s appreciation for students who have successfully brought honor to their study program and university through achievements at the national level.

In the competition, Safina Tasya Afida won  third place in the National Da’i category and second place in the National Photo Model category . These two achievements demonstrate that students not only possess academic potential but also develop their talents, creativity, communication skills, and self-confidence through various competitions.

This development grant demonstrates FIPP UNNES’s support for the holistic development of student potential. It is hoped that this support will motivate Safina to continue improving her skills and achievements, while also inspiring other students to compete, develop their talents, and contribute positively to society.

This appreciation for student achievements is also in line with the commitment to  the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , especially SDG 1 ( No Poverty ) and SDG 4 ( Quality Education ).

The link to SDG 1 is demonstrated through institutional support for students in the form of development funds, which can help support the development of academic achievement and education. This support is one form of institutional contribution to expanding student development opportunities, although it is not directly an indicator of poverty alleviation.

Meanwhile, the link to SDG 4 is reflected in FIPP UNNES’s efforts to promote inclusive and quality education by developing students’ potential, talents, creativity, and skills outside of formal academic activities. Recognition of student achievement is part of an educational ecosystem that supports lifelong learning, character development, and competency enhancement.

Through this development grant, FIPP UNNES hopes to continue fostering a culture of appreciation and achievement on campus. Support for high-achieving students is expected to not only lead to individual achievement but also strengthen the university’s role in developing superior, creative, character-driven, and nationally competitive human resources.

Safina Tasya Afida’s achievements are proof that opportunities for growth can be realized through courage, perseverance, and a supportive educational environment. FIPP UNNES is committed to continuously supporting students in developing their potential and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
