Semarang, July 30, 2026 — The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) conducted water sampling and quality standard checks as part of its environmental and sanitation monitoring efforts within the faculty. This activity was carried out at Building A3 FIPP UNNES, Sekaran, Gunungpati District, Semarang City , with the involvement of the Semarang City Health Laboratory Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) .

Measurement activities were carried out to obtain objective data on the quality of Hygiene and Sanitation Water (AHS) used in the FIPP UNNES environment. Water samples were taken on July 30, 2026 , and then examined at the Semarang City Health Laboratory UPTD. The examination was carried out on a number of physical and chemical parameters with reference to the quality standards stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2023 concerning the Implementing Regulations of Government Regulation Number 66 of 2014 concerning Environmental Health.

Water quality testing covers various physical and chemical parameters, including odor, turbidity, temperature, color, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), iron (Fe), acidity (pH), chromium 6-valent (Cr⁶⁺), manganese (Mn), nitrite (NO₂⁻), and nitrate (NO₃⁻). The implementation of water quality standard measurements demonstrates FIPP UNNES’s commitment to healthy and sustainable campus environmental management. Laboratory test data can serve as a basis for faculty evaluations of water and sanitation facilities and support follow-up planning for campus facility maintenance.

This activity is also part of FIPP UNNES’s commitment to building an educational environment that supports health, comfort, and sustainability. These water quality monitoring efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3 on Healthy and Prosperous Lives and SDG 6 on Clean Water and Adequate Sanitation . Through data-based water quality monitoring, FIPP UNNES helps strengthen healthy, responsible, and sustainable campus environmental management practices.
