SEMARANG — Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) is fully committed to delivering excellent education focused on student satisfaction from the very first day of classes for the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. This commitment was underscored during a monitoring and evaluation (Monev) session regarding academic activities at the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
The site visit was conducted by the UNNES Secretary, Prof. Dr. Sugianto, M.Si., and the UNNES Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt. They were accompanied by FIPP Vice Dean I (Academic Affairs) Farid Ahmadi, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D.; FIPP Vice Dean II (Finance and General Affairs) Kusnarto Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., Kons.; FIPP Vice Dean III (Student Affairs) Siti Nuzulia, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D.; and the FIPP UNNES Quality Assurance Group (GPM) team.
The monitoring and evaluation focused on various academic facilities, including the temporary classrooms in Building D1, currently occupied by the Educational Technology and Early Childhood Teacher Education (PGPAUD) study programs while the new FIPP building is under construction.
According to UNNES data, FIPP has admitted 1,310 new students this year across six study programs: Educational Technology, Non-Formal Education (PNF), Guidance and Counseling (BK), Psychology, Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD), and Early Childhood Teacher Education (PGPAUD).
UNNES Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt., emphasized the importance of rapid responsiveness in student services—particularly regarding academic facilities and infrastructure—as well as providing students with the freedom to choose their study completion pathways.
“Students must be well-served. Any student complaints—particularly those regarding facilities and infrastructure—must be addressed promptly. Furthermore, regarding students currently completing their studies, academic supervisors should not impose their will; students should be allowed to choose whether to complete their final project via a research article or a traditional thesis,” asserted Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt.
In line with this directive, UNNES Secretary Prof. Dr. Sugianto, M.Si. emphasized the importance of addressing technical issues on the ground to ensure the teaching and learning process runs optimally.
“Please submit immediate requests to address any deficiencies in supporting equipment—such as the need for televisions in the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) department or issues with unstable internet access,” said Prof. Dr. Sugianto, M.Si.
Prof. Sugianto also drew attention to the environment surrounding the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), noting that piles of construction debris need to be cleared to ensure a comfortable atmosphere.
Responding to these directives from university leadership, the FIPP UNNES management affirmed its readiness to promptly address complaints regarding technical facilities and infrastructure, and to ensure that all lecturers provide flexible, responsive academic guidance to foster a conducive learning environment.
