Bandung, July 23, 2026 – The Doctoral Guidance and Counseling Education (PBK) Study Program at Semarang State University (UNNES) conducted a benchmarking activity in preparation for ACQUIN international accreditation at the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at the Indonesian Education University (UPI), Bandung, on Thursday (July 23). This activity is part of the study program’s strategic efforts to strengthen academic governance and improve educational quality towards international standards.
The benchmarking session was attended by academics from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program from the Indonesian Education University (UPI), Semarang State University (UNNES), and Makassar State University (UNM). In addition to sharing best practices in study program management and preparing for ACQUIN international accreditation, the event also included the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the three study programs as a commitment to strengthening collaboration in education, research, community service, and institutional development.
Through discussion sessions and exchanges of experiences, each study program presented strategies for improving academic quality, curriculum development, quality assurance, and the steps taken to meet international accreditation indicators. This activity is expected to provide a platform for shared learning to strengthen institutional readiness for the accreditation process while expanding academic networks at the national level.
The participation of the UNNES Doctoral Program in Guidance and Counseling Education in this activity demonstrates its commitment to continuously improving the quality of higher education delivery, strengthening a culture of quality, and building sustainable partnerships with various universities.
This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4 (Quality Education) through improving the quality of higher education and quality academic governance. Furthermore, this activity also supports SDG point 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration between educational institutions to achieve internationalization and improve the quality of higher education.
